This week we have the GEMINI New Moon arriving on Saturday June 17or Sunday June 18, depending where you live. Here on the West Coast it’s at 9:37 pm PT.
New Moon Celestial events In the new moon phase, the moon is between the Sun and the Earth. Due to this alignment, the side of the moon that faces Earth is left in complete darkness. The moon has no light of its own, it can only reflect the light from the Sun. This is called the dark of the moon. Also during the New Moon phase, the moon rises and sets at around the same time as the Sun.
New Moon teachings Because the moon can only reflect the light of the sun, at new moon, it reflects no light. So this is a time to reflect your own light and what needs to be brought to light.
The new moon is a perfect time for reflection, meditation, going within, and connecting to source, the divine, your higher wisdom. The time is ripe for setting intentions and taking action on any new inspirations you have. New Moons are a powerful time to tell the Universe what you wish to attract.
New Moons are a prime time for manifesting so put time into focusing on your intention into making your wildest dreams come true. A chance to do things over, welcome new beginnings, and plant seeds for the future.
At the time of the New Moon, set your intentions.
Gemini New Moon, in the AIR element
The energy of the AIR element reflects the Mind, thought, the rational. Focus is on communication and social interaction.
The symbol for the Air element as revealed through the microscope of the mineral salts of the Air signs, is Square and Rectangular.
This Gemini New Moon encourages us to communicate our dreams and ideas to be able to make productive new beginnings in our lives.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury and the twins, reminding us of our two sides – mind and sou, bring both sides into harmony and cooperation.
And if we look at MicroCosmic Wisdom card 6 for Gemini seen in the above image (Gemini mineral salt potassium chloride) we see 2 sides illuminated differently. This says: Pay attention to both sides of you, your mind and soul. See where you can create balance. Listen to both your logical side and your soul. Both parts of you need to be expressed and communicated without worry.
