Oracle Cards

What are Oracle Cards?

Both Oracle cards and Tarot cards are designed to help a person get in touch with their inner knowing and, some believe, with the divine energy that informs that inner knowing. You may call this divination or magic.

Using the cards can help you tap into symbols or images that open your intuition, a way of knowing that bypasses your intellect. It’s a way to know yourslef and connect to the divine.

The idea behind using these kind of cards is that your intuition/the universe guides you to the card with information that will help  you on youe path or energy you need to cultivate.

What’s the difference between Tarot and Oracle cards
Tarot is a fixed system, which means that every deck has the same structure. They each have 78 cards divided into 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards. They share a symbolic language, which is the same no matter the deck. There is always a Fool Card,a Lovers Card, etc. in the major arcana. The minor arcana are divided into 4 suits (like in the playing cards) mirroring the 4 elements. And even though it’s a fixed system, Tarot cards are more complex than Oracle cards.

Oracle decks, on the other hand, have no fixed system. Every deck is different. They do not follow a set structure. and vary in the number of cards, kinds of symbols and theme. There are goddess decks, flower decks, angel decks all with lovely paintings on each card. Colette Baron-Reid has created 15 different oracle decks and calls oracle cards the new self-care

MicroCosmic Wisdom oracle cards are not paintings with recognizable symbols. They are photomicrographs of the inner world of our molecules. The images themselves carry messages and open you to your inner wisdom.

How to Use Oracle cards
You may simply ask the cards what is my challenge or gift for today or what wisdom will help me today. Shuffle your cards and pull a card. Or ask a more specific question, like I did this morning – What do I need to do to diminish my fear. The card I pulled out of my 36 card deck was Letting Go. The image lights something in me, as does the guidance I had written for that card. No surprise – I need to Let go of that belief and fear.

The more you use Oracle cards, the more you will discover you own source for guidance and learn to trust it.  Using the cards you are in partnership with Spirit.
