A new approach to learning about cells

Using art to learn science. 

When I was a graduate student in biochemistry, the science wasn’t easy for me to learn. I was fascinated by the chemistry of our bodies, our cells and how I learned was by drawing it.  I made sense of complex and abstract concepts by drawing them.  

And as I was preparing this next program – your cosmic Youniverse, I found myself drawing the information.  That made so much sense to me.  We all learn differently. Some of us learn by hearing (definitely not me), some understand what they read or see, taking in information.  And me, and maybe you, I am a kinesthetic learner meaning my body gets it before I can understand. I have to embody the information to ‘get it.’ 

Drawing is a kinesthetic embodying experience. Scientific research is showing us that when we write something by hand, like with pencil or pen, we retain the information better than if we input it on a keyboard.  

This is a sketch of our cell container. The cell membrane [boundary between inside and outside) with its receptors for receiving information and for marking identity- all different shapes.  A lot of how our cells and molecules function depends of SHAPE and changing shape.

This 4-week online program begins Monday Sept 22 on the  Equinox.  A spiritual time for balance, transformation, reflection, intention and renewal.   Each 60-90 minute session starts at 11 am Pacific Time.  

ALL sessions will be recorded so that if you cannot attend in person, you have access to the replays of each session.  Also when you register you will receive the Secrets of Your Cells ebook.  In addition, we have a private library with additional and all resources.  

This interactive program  includes enlightening educational presentations, experiential exercises, guided visualization, plus engaging discussions.  In addition there will be video presentations available to watch and learn from on your own time. Unlike all previous cell wisdom courses, my plan it to teach without powerpoints. Supplemental Powerpoint videos will be available for you to watch whenever you want
